What is the River Artes District?
In an effort to revitalize an overlooked community, the River Artes District celebrates local artists and artisans on San Antonio’s Southside.
Located between Roosevelt Park and the historic Missions, the district blends working-class history, creative expression, and cultural pride.
About the Studio Tour
Our first annual studio tour took place on Saturday, May 24, where over a dozen studios and creative spaces opened their doors to the public. Visitors can met with artists, saw work in progress, and participated in The River Thread — a symbolic ribbon activity linking every stop in the district.
With support from donors, we look forward to welcoming visitors to the south side every year to tour the studios in the district.
